Solomons Island, Maryland
In May of this year I competed in a plein air paint out on the Chesapeake in Maryland. The event was sponsored by the Solomons Business Association. 30+ Painters from the east coast and as far away as Chicago participate in the event. I received an honorable mention for my "quick draw" entry (more below) and First Place (Best of Show) at the final exhibition. It was an intense and enjoyable four days. Most of the paintings I completed while there are at Carmen's Gallery (410/326-2549).
